INSANIA: Jurnal Pemikiran Alternatif Kependidikan is a scientific periodical journal that has been consistently published since 1996 by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto. As one of the oldest academic journals at the university, INSANIA has played a significant role in disseminating educational research and scholarly discussions.
Over the years, INSANIA has published numerous editions, releasing two issues per year in June and December, available in both printed and digital formats. The journal has continuously evolved to maintain high academic standards and expand its reach within the global research community.
On December 7, 2022, INSANIA achieved accreditation as a SINTA 3-indexed journal, recognizing its contribution to national academic excellence. Additionally, INSANIA has been indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), further increasing its visibility and accessibility to researchers worldwide.
Starting from the 2025 edition, INSANIA has sharpened its focus to align with education and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in line with its vision of contributing to global sustainability through academic research. This thematic shift is part of INSANIA's strategy to enhance its scholarly impact and meet the standards for Scopus indexation. Furthermore, beginning in 2025, INSANIA will transition to an electronic-only publication model, ensuring broader accessibility and a more sustainable approach to academic publishing.
With its long-standing commitment to advancing educational research, INSANIA continues to uphold its mission of providing alternative educational perspectives that contribute to solving contemporary challenges, particularly those related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
