Lecturers are required to present learning innovations using these two models to continue to achieve maximum learning outcomes and student learning outcomes. It is through the implementation of distance learning that students can study anywhere. The blended learning model is innovative and collaborates offline/face-to-face lectures with online lectures. With the implementation of this online learning system, both distance learning and blended learning have differences in student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using distance learning and blended learning models regarding cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The research method used in this study is quantitative, with a research design using a comparative test to compare learning outcomes between two groups with different treatments. One group uses distance learning, and one group uses blended learning. The data analysis technique used to answer the hypothesis of this research is a statistic with different/comparative test, the t-test with statistical test Kolmogorov Test and Shapiro-Wilks Test to determine normality test and homogeneity test, and a nonparametric test using the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed no significant difference in cognitive, affective (activeness), and psychomotor learning achievement between students who learned to use the distance learning and blended learning models. Significant differences in learning achievement only occur in the affective aspect, particularly in student discipline in learning. Students who learn to use blended learning have better discipline than those who use distance learning.
Yosi Intan Pandini Gunawan, Mujibur Rohman Copyright (c) 2023 Yosi Intan Pandini Gunawan, Mujibur Rohman http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/8434 Thu, 28 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The role of learning technology developers as facilitators during the Covid-19 pandemic https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/7055
Innovation in the learning technology field to facilitate the activities of students and educators in the learning process is the task and responsibility of the Learning Technology Developer (Pengembang Teknologi Pembelajaran/PTP). In Indonesia, various problems in the field are allegedly a manifestation of the face of national education. One of the best books that can be extracted from it, the basis of Islamic education sourced from the life of the Prophet Muhammad, is the Kitab of Al-Rahiq Al-Makhtum. This type of research is qualitative because it aims to explore the basis of Islamic education in related books, with the research method using library research. Primary data in this study are writings extracted from primary sources, namely the Kitab of Al-Rahiq Al-Makhtum by Al-Mubarakfuri. The secondary data in this study are writings extracted from supporting sources, books, and related journals. The data analysis technique used in this literature research uses the content analysis method. The results showed that the basis of Islamic education taught directly by the Prophet Muhammad Saw. and contained in the Kitab Al-Rahiq Al-Makhtum there are three pillars: The first is monotheism, the second is following the revelation, the third is good character, which includes patience, professionalism, tawadhu', and being able to be a role model. Based on this, every Muslim teacher and educator should realize and even absorb this meaning and try as much as possible to implement it in teaching so that all parties can overcome moral degradation together.
Hunainah Hunainah, Muhammad Fuad Ikhwansyah, Muhammad Tri Ramdhani Copyright (c) 2023 Hunainah Hunainah, Muhammad Fuad Ikhwansyah, Muhammad Tri Ramdhani http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/8548 Thu, 28 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Quora: A popular platform to promote students' reading comprehension skill https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/8836
Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill in mastering English. However, the sophistication of existing technology is unfortunately not accompanied by the maturity of its users, especially students. Use ChatGPT in every task. Thus causing a decrease in creativity and a lack of originality in the work. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data were collected using participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. The results showed that the negative impact of using ChatGPT is over-reliance, which causes students to be unable to think critically, lack problem-solving skills, have decreased social interaction, and are vulnerable to receiving information bias. The treatment for students who are already addicted to using ChatGPT includes recognizing the signs of addiction that arise, collaborating with professional experts such as psychologists or counselors, training students to think critically and independently, and providing alternative activities that encourage them to participate in social activities. This research still needs improvement. So it needs some further development. These are some suggestions from this study: Investigate the psychological impact of students using ChatGPT, Design an Academic Curriculum by Collaborating with AI, and Develop an evaluation system that combines authentic tasks and the use of ChatGPT.
Wahyu Purwasih, Ahmad Sahnan Copyright (c) 2023 Wahyu Purwasih, Ahmad Sahnan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/9529 Thu, 28 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The implementation of reciprocal teaching strategy in teaching critical reading https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/insania/article/view/7954
Low students’ interest in learning and reading English text influence to their critical reading ability.
