Kearifan Ritual Jodangan dalam Tradisi Islam Nusantara di Goa Cerme

This article reveals Jodangan ritual performed annually as a representation of gratitude to Allah for his mercy in giving harvest that spread prosperity to the community around Cerme Cave. The history of Cerme Cave is well known as the heritage of phenomenal Islam civilization. Cerme Cave as a historical trace is made a religious tourism for Bantul and its surrounding community. This research found that Jodangan ritual could improve community’s religiosity consciousness as a commitment of loyalty to The Almighty God. Religiosity consciousness in the society has a really important role in affecting mind and behavior to perform religious command sincerely. Tulisan ini berusaha mengungkap ritual Jodangan yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun sebagai tanda syukur kehadirat Allah yang memberikan rezeki dari hasil bumi sehingga memberikan kemakmuran dan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat di sekitar Goa Cerme. Sejarah Goa Cerme yang dikenal masyarakat sebagai warisan peradaban Islam yang sangat fenomenal, pada saat bersamaan dihelat sebuah ritual keagamaan yang dikenal dengan upacara Jodangan. Peneliti tertarik mengetahui lebih mendalam Goa Cerme sebagai tempat wisata religius bagi masyarakat Bantul dan sekitarnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pelaksanaan ritual Jodangan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran religiusitas (religiousity consciousness) masyarakat sebagai bentuk komitmen ketaatan dan kepatuhan terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Kesadaran religiusitas dalam realitas sosial memang berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi pikiran dan perbuatan untuk melaksanakan perintah agama dengan penuh keikhlasan.Downloads
