Langgar merupakan sentrum aktivitas masyarakat muslim pedesaan Jawa. Secara kultural, langgar mempunyai fungsi sebagai basis komunikasi religius jamaah, tempat inisiasi bagi anak-anak laki-laki menuju usia muda, dan tempat pertemuan umum warga. Sebagai institusi kultural muslim pedesaan Jawa, langgar telah menyediakan berbagai rujukan nilai-nilai dan norma-norma asetis bagi muslim pedesaan Jawa dalam beragama dan bermasyarakat, termasuk di dalamnya adalah tempat untuk melestarikan kesenian-kesenian leluhur mereka. Dengan demikian, secara konkrit langgar telah menjadi sumber tata nilai sekaligus model nyata dari tata beragama dan bermasyarakat. Langgar mempunyai arti penting secara kultural bagi muslim pedesaan Jawa, sebagai sentrum pelestarian dan peneguh identitas mereka sebagai orang Jawa yang sekaligus adalah seorang muslim.Downloads
