Author Guidelines

1. The submission is a critical review, idea, or empirical research focusing on Islamic culture, which covers: a) belief system in Islam, b) Muslim scholarly ideas (classic or contemporary), c) ritual system in Islam, d) customs or tradition in the Islamic community, and e) literature and Islamic art.
2. The submission has not been previously published in full text or part of it.
3. The submission is original, neither a compilation nor a translation.
4. Article: a) is possible in English; b) uses Cambria 12-pt font; c) is in 1.2 spacing line; and d) is no longer than 15-20 pages or 5000 - 7000 words (including bibliography) in A4 paper size.
5. The layout of the article uses the templates we provide. Templates can be downloaded here.
6. After the article has been accepted to be published by the Ibda Journal Editorial Board, the writer must be willing to follow the rules for translating the article into English with the translator specified by the Ibda Journal.
7. During the submission process, the author will be prompted to supply an abstract of 180-200 words and approximately five keywords that define the paper's subject. The paper contains an introduction (background, objectives, and problems), methods or theories, analysis, conclusions, and references. The author's name, affiliation, and email are also required as identification.
8. The paper must contain a complete list of sources cited, given in the manuscript/in notes citation (name, year, page number) (Madjid, 2010:15),  and only references cited in the paper should be included in the list of references. It is possible to give additional information for certain terms.
9. Minimum 70% of references are from reputable international journals published in the last 5 years.
10. It is strongly recommended the submission of articles and accompanying manuscripts via OJS.

REFERENCING STYLE
Citation and Bibliography must use applications like Mendeley or Zotero with APA (American Psychological Association) Citation Style.
