Menavigasi Dunia Kerja: Pengalaman Transisi Lulusan Mahasiswa PGMI

The transition from the world of lectures to the world of work is an important moment for every graduate, including graduates of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI). This research aims to understand the transition experience of PGMI student graduates in entering the world of work. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 12 PGMI student graduates who had just entered the world of work. The research results show that the transition experience of PGMI student graduates is characterized by various challenges and opportunities. Challenges faced include: adaptation to a new work culture, limited knowledge and skills, and lack of support from the work environment. Opportunities found include: the opportunity to develop oneself, gain new experiences, and contribute to society. This research provides several important implications for the PGMI study program. First, the PGMI study program needs to strengthen its curriculum by providing more comprehensive training about the world of work. Second, the PGMI study program needs to collaborate with related institutions to help its graduates find work. Third, the PGMI study program needs to provide assistance to its graduates in the transition period from the world of study to the world of work. The transition from the world of study to the world of work is a complex and challenging process for PGMI student graduates. However, with thorough preparation and support from various parties, PGMI student graduates can successfully navigate the world of work and achieve success in their careers.References
