Abstrak

Penggunaan Generative Artificial Intelegence (GenAI) dalam pembelajaran dapat mempermudah sekaligus menghadirkan tantangan terhadap perubahan budaya belajar di Perguruan Tinggi. GenAI dapat menggeser pola lama terutama dalam proses penyelesaian tugas perkuliahan, disisi lain terdapat ketegangan yang meningkat terkait batasan penggunaan GenAI yang belum sepenuhnya menjadi perhatian bagi mahasiswa baru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dinamika Cultural Lag penggunaan GenAI dalam pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa baru Prodi Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam UINSU Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, serta teknik analisis yakni analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Seluruh mahasiswa pernah menggunakan GenAI sebagai alat bantu dalam mengerjakan tugas, (2) Kecenderungan pilihan tools GenAI yang digunakan mahasiswa secara berurut yakni ChatGPT, MetaAI, dan BlackboxAI, (3) Sebagian besar mahasiswa setuju untuk diperbolehkan mengerjakan tugas dengan bantuan GenAI, dan (4) Seluruh mahasiswa tidak mengetahui bahwa terdapat etika akademik penggunaan tools GenAI, terutama deklarasi tertulis cakupan penggunaan GenAI. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian maka rekomendasi yang dapat dikemukakan yakni perlunya panduan terkait pemanfaatan GenAI yang sesuai dengan situasi akademik, terutama pada level Prodi dengan harapan agar mahasiswa baru lebih melek terkait batasan penggunaan dan mencantumkan deklarasi penggunaan GenAI pada setiap halaman akhir dokumen tugas mereka.
