The rise of the culture of corruption in Indonesia is very worrying. For this reason, efforts are needed from every party involved in the vulnerability of corruption, one of which is by requiring the payment of zakat. The wisdom of zakat in eliminating stingy and greedy elements in humans is an essence that needs to be felt for all fund managers of the people or society. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data sources obtained through literature studies, documents and scientific publications. The Indonesian government's efforts in eradicating corruption have not completely reduced the number of recent acts of corruption. The divine approach which introduces the concept that the nature of property is only a deposit from God needs to be made aware of the persons concerned. Zakat as one of the obligatory practices in Islam, if carried out with sincerity and full awareness, is able to eliminate the greed and miserly nature that is the basis for a person to commit acts of corruption.References
