PERAN PEREMPUAN DI BALIK KEDAULATAN KAUM PETANI DI CIAMIS, JAWA BARAT

Abstract

Abstrak: Kaum perempuan beserta kelompok-kelompok social di masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam proses gerakan dan tranformasi pengetahuan. Di kampung Pesawahan, kecamatan Banjarsari, kabupaten Ciamis, Jawa Barat terdapat organisasi Serikat Petani Pasundan atau SPP yang mampu mendirikan sekolah unggulan. Di balik kemandirian dan keberhasilan gerakan ini, terdapat peran kaum ibu rumah tangga. Organisasi SPP juga telah mendirikan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Plus dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Plus yang berdiri di tengah perkebunan di kampung Pesawahan. Dua lembaga pendidikan ini merupakan hasil dari jerih payah dan kerja keras kaum petani di Jawa Barat yang memiliki cita-cita luhur dan etos kerja yang besar untuk membebaskan diri dari kemiskinan dan ketidakberdayaan. Di antara nilai lebih dan keunikan dari pendidikan di sekolah ini, para siswa dibekali dengan kecakapan untuk hidup di tengah masyarakat, selain menerima pelajaran lain sebagaimana di sekolah-sekolah pada umumnya. Para siswa tingkat akhir di sekolah ini juga siap berkompetisi di laga ujian nasional.   Abstract: Women as well as social groups in society have an important role in the process of movement and transformation of knowledge. In Pesawahan Village, Banjarsari Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency, West Java, there is an organization called Sundanese Farmers Union or SPP (Serikat Petani Pasundan). The organization is able to establish an excellence school. Behind the independence and success of this movement, there is the role of the house wife. SPP organization has also established a junior high school (SMP) Plus and Vocational School (SMK) Plus which stood in the middle of the plantation in the village of Pesawahan. Two of these institutions is the result of hard work of the farmers in West Java who have lofty ideals and great work ethic to free them selves from poverty and powerlessness. Among the more value and uniqueness of education in this school, the students are equipped with the skills to live in society, as well as receive other lessons in schools in general.
