Perpustakaan sebagai Pusat Dokumentasi Budaya Lokal

Artikel ini disusun menggunakan metode kualitatif diskriptif, di mana fokus pada pendeskripsian pengelolaan perpustakaan sebagai pusat dokumentasi budaya lokal. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan mempunyai peranan yang vital sebagai wadah dalam mengakomodir berbagai kebudayaan terutama kebudayaan lokal masyarakat. Hal ini kemudian menjadi penting untuk diperhatikan mengingat globalisasi tidak dapat dihindari. Sehingga perpustakaan menjadi salah satu garda terdepan dalam melestarikan berbagai sumber tulis mengenai nilai dan kekayaan budaya suatu masyarakat. Masyarakat dengan kompleksitas kebudayaan yang terwujud dalam berbagai praktik seperti kesenian, ritus keagamaan, artefak-artefak, bahasa, pola pikir dan sebagainya juga membutuhkan wadah untuk bisa terus lestari dalam menghadapi dinamika di dunia ini. Perpustakaan hadir sebagai salah satu jawaban dari kedua persoalan tersebut. Pada satu sisi perpustakaan hadir sebagai sumber informasi bagai kalangan masyarakat yang luas. Pada sisi yang lain perpustakaan juga mempunyai peran yang vital sebagai ruang dokumentasi bagi kekayaan budaya masyarakat.Downloads
