This research investigates the application of sharia-based communication ethics in providing information services through social media, focusing on their impact on community engagement and local tax administrators. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with social media analysis to understand the effectiveness of qaulan balīgha, qaulan syadīda, qaulan layyina, qaulan karīma, qaulan ma’rūfa, and qaulan masyū’ra communication ethics. Results indicate that while targeted and communicative models (qaulan balīgha) are utilized, user engagement remains low. Transparent communication (qaulan syadīda) enhances public trust, while respectful and kind communication (qaulan layyina and qaulan karīma) fosters positive interactions. Furthermore, clear and easy-to-understand communication (qaulan ma’rūfa and qaulan masyū’ra) facilitates smooth information delivery. These findings suggest that adopting these communication ethics can improve information dissemination and public engagement on social media.
Suci Suliyanti Tahir Fuad Fansuri Copyright (c) 2024 Suci Suliyanti, Tahir, Fuad Fansuri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-06-24 2024-06-24 13 1 162 173 10.24090/jimrf.v13i1.11018 Implementation of Maqāṣid Al-Syāriah in Empowering the Zakah Community Development Program https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/raushanfikr/article/view/11291
The study investigates the implementation of zakah as a strategy for community empowerment in Gunung Binjai village, Balikpapan city, via the Zakah Community Development (ZCD) system. Utilizing descriptive qualitative methods with a socio-economic approach, the research evaluates the system through maqāṣid al-syāriah. Findings indicate that the ZCD system enhances the welfare of zakah recipients (mustahik) in line with maqāṣid al-syāriah principles, particularly daruriyatul khams, which include protecting religion, life, intellect, progeny, and property. This system significantly improves mustahik socio-economic well-being, illustrating zakah’s role beyond charity as a tool for societal transformation. The study provides empirical evidence and a detailed analysis, highlighting the ZCD system as a model for effective community empowerment and demonstrating the compatibility of Islamic principles with contemporary socio-economic development. It advocates for a holistic approach rooted in maqāṣid al-syāriah to achieve sustainable progress in marginalized communities.
Andi Martina Kamaruddin Rabiatul Adawiyah Khodijah Nur Tsalis Ahmad Abbas Copyright (c) 2024 Andi Martina Kamaruddin, Rabiatul Adawiyah, Khadijah Nur Tsalis; Ahmad Abbas https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-06-24 2024-06-24 13 1 174 185 10.24090/jimrf.v13i1.11291 Influence of Convenience, Usability, Price, and Promotion on Reuse Intentions: Muslim Awareness Moderation https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/raushanfikr/article/view/11256
Online transportation has transformed the transport industry by offering practical and innovative solutions embraced by the public. The analysis utilizes secondary financial data from four Islamic banks, sourced from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and other researchers. The input variables considered include third-party funds allocated for profit-sharing and labor costs, while the output variables consist of revenue derived from the management of public funds and other operational income. The DEA results indicate fluctuating efficiency levels among the Islamic banks, with Bank Syariah Y consistently achieving 100% efficiency, signifying its status as the most efficient institution. The study identifies that revenue from public fund management negatively impacts the growth of Islamic banks, whereas labor costs and other operational income positively influence their development. These findings highlight areas requiring improvement and the factors driving efficiency in the development of Islamic banking in Indonesia.
M. Fahmi Hidayat Roikhan M. Aziz Copyright (c) 2024 M. It focuses on a student from the Islamic State University of North Sumatra (UINSU) who faced mental health challenges due to their parents’ divorce. According to the 2018 Basic Health Research statistics, about 9.8% of Indonesians suffer from emotional and mental problems, an increase from 2013. Contributing factors such as divorce, familial discord, and insufficient emotional support can worsen children's psychological well-being, especially in toxic environments. Using qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and observations, data were gathered from UINSU students aged 18 to 25 from broken-home households. The data were processed using an interactive analysis involving data reduction, display, and conclusion/verification. Findings reveal that children of divorced or separated parents are more prone to mental health issues. However, understanding and applying Qur’anic teachings can help individuals overcome adverse effects and achieve inner peace. Parents must educate their children and ensure their needs are adequately met, with a tranquil and empathetic atmosphere crucial for optimal development. The research highlights the importance of the spiritual dimension in enhancing the mental well-being of children from divorced or separated families. It also underscores the need for a supportive environment to promote holistic mental health and the critical role of parental and community involvement in creating a nurturing and caring atmosphere for children's cognitive development.
Seri Wahyuni Dalimunthe Junaidi Fadhilah Is Copyright (c) 2024 Seri Wahyuni Dalimunthe https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-06-24 2024-06-24 13 1 36 48 10.24090/jimrf.v13i1.11220 A Thematic Study on the Concept of Hope in Prayer (Al-ṭama’) and Its Implementation in the Modern Era: Perspectives from Q. Lynn White, Jr. criticized the anthropocentric tendencies in Judeo-Christian traditions, which he argued contributed to environmental degradation. In contrast, the principles of environmental conservation in the Qur’an remain underexplored. This study addresses this gap by examining ecological concepts in the Qur’an and their implications for environmental sustainability. Using a qualitative literature review methodology, we systematically analyze relevant Qur’anic verses and scientific interpretations to elucidate these principles. Our findings reveal two key concepts: first, the Qur’an integrates environmental stewardship with faith, asserting that true belief necessitates environmental responsibility. Second, the Qur’an designates humans as stewards (khalīfah) of the Earth, tasked with its wise management and care. Powell’s theory of acculturation to analyze the cultural synthesis in the Tabot ceremony, examining the mutual influences between Shia traditions and Bengkulu’s indigenous practices. Utilizing a descriptive-qualitative methodology, the research involves comprehensive library research for historical and cultural contexts, complemented by fieldwork with the Kerukunan Keluarga Tabot (KTT), the tradition’s custodians. Data analysis follows a structured three-stage process: reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. This approach ensures a thorough and accurate interpretation of findings. The Tabot ceremony commemorates the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib, in the battle against Ubaidillah bin Zaid’s forces in Karbala, Iraq, on the 10th of Muharram, 61 Hijri (681 AD). Initiated by Sheikh Burhanuddin, also known as Imam Senggolo, in 1685, the first Tabot celebration marked his union with a Bengkulu native, founding the Tabot lineage. This annual event spans from the 1st to the 10th of Muharram. Although originally a Shia Islamic rite, the Tabot ceremony transformed under the influence of Sunni Islam in Bengkulu, leading the descendants of Shia propagators to fervently adopt Sunni Islam.
