Muslim youths in various Muslim communities continue to experience low enrolment, high dropout rates, and poor academic performance. Lack of access to quality education is a major issue for Muslim youths which is serving as the basis for this article. The article used a mixed-methods approach and qualitative data collection methods to gather information from key stakeholders, including Muslim youths, parents, teachers, community leaders, and education experts. Findings from the research revealed that Muslim youths are capable of acquiring knowledge to the extent of becoming teachers and obtaining higher positions in society. Nevertheless, the community has done very little to ensure the effective participation of their children and Muslim youths in the acquisition of knowledge. Analysis revealed that the current situation of education is susceptible to breakdown, due to a plethora of challenges, and many inhabitants have renounced education as fruitless. Community-based interventions, Policymakers formulating policies and programs that prioritize education for marginalized groups, and innovative educational models, such as e-learning and mobile learning can help to improve access to quality education for Muslim youths. These recommendations can be used to curb the situation and put it on track, as well as create awareness of the need for the acquisition of secular education, especially among Muslim youths
2024-03-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Abdul Aziz Shamhuna https://ejournal.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/ijtimaiyya/article/view/9467 Multicultural Islamic Education in the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council on Digital Da'wah Ethics 2023-11-11T09:45:19+07:00 Agus Fatuh Widoyo [email protected] Zulihi Zulihi [email protected] Athoillah Islamy [email protected] Muhammad Abduh [email protected]
Exclusive, intolerant, and radical da'wah content on various social media platforms is a challenge for Islamic da'wah in today's digital era. The symbols of obedience to religion are often displayed by artists in various activities broadcasted on social media both when playing as an actor in a social media show or in their actual life that is covered on social media. The piety is shown by dressing sharia clothes, performing umrah, sponsorsing orphans program, follow Islamic sermon and others. The existence of these statutory regulations provides a sense of certainty for every customer in carrying out financing and savings activities at Islamic financial institutions. However, not all Islamic financial institutions are registered as members of deposit insurance institutions. One of them is an Islamic financial institution, Baitul Maal Wal Tamwil (BMT). Whereas in the Baitul Maal Wal Tamwil (BMT) there is customers' money that must be ensured for their savings deposits. Baitul Maal Wal Tamwil (BMT) Assyafi'yah, for example, in his financial reports from 2019 to 2021 has a large amount, in 2019 with a total deposit of Rp. 14,790,416,786, in 2020 with a total deposit of Rp.15,494,878,688, and in 2021 with a total deposit of Rp. 15,900,496,978.
