Instilling Character Education in Early Childhood by Using Illustrated Storybook

Early childhood is in its golden age and is very valuable compared to later ages. Early childhood experiences a very rapid process of growth and development. The intelligence of early childhood develops tremendously in absorbing everything in the surrounding environment. The golden age is a very decisive initial foundation in shaping the character and commendable personality and will adhere to adult children. Character education with an Islamic perspective will give birth to future generations who have quality personalities for the future of their lives in the future. Instilling character education in schools has an important role and spearheads the teacher. Character education is very appropriate to be implemented early. Early childhood does not know yet, has not been able to distinguish and does not yet know the effects of good deeds and bad deeds that they do. Educators should build the character of early childhood by introducing a variety of goodness, familiarizing and instilling pleasure to do good deeds. Learning method that can be applied to instill character from early childhood is through storytelling methods using illustrated storybook. Illustrated storybook is very interesting for early childhood because children can see various things and can develop imagination or fantasy, train emotions, attention and build the character of the child so that the Indonesian people have a future generation with good character.

Improving Writing Skill for Islamic Education Teacher

A teacher should able to write as supporting element in learning activities implementation. Moreover, teachers also need to do research to improve the professionalism as a teacher. But right now, the culture of writing scientific papers among teachers remains low. Many efforts have been made by government to encourage the spirit of the teacher in writing as like training, but it was not enough if they had done the training but do not directly apply, then training is something useless. So, they need a habituation to write as early as possible before being a teacher as performed by An Najah Islamic Boarding School for Higher Student Purwokerto. They will be accustomed to writing as early as they can. This research can be categorized as field research while the strategy is cross sectional study case. The object are all of activity which belong to writing skill improvement there while the subjects are santri (student) and ustadz (teacher). The technic of collecting data uses observation, interview, and documentation and used Miles and Huberman data analysis methods. This study shows that there are two programs for improving writing skill of Islamic Education santri, namely main program and supported program.

The role of Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah in education in Indonesia is very influential and gives its own style in the development of education in Indonesia, which is having a commitment to develop students for the realization of a civilized society and Islamic character, and able to benefit the people of Indonesia.

The education principle of Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah is to foster a scientific culture among Muslims, with reference to the Qur'an and Sunnah, so that it will form a mindset that is characterized by Islam properly and correctly. This concentration on the modernization of education has made Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah have played many roles in the advancement of education in Indonesia.

The development of Islamic education carried out by Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah is under the responsibility of the Education and Teaching Council through the program; 1) publishing an education quality management system, 2) publishing curriculum and textbooks on Islamic Education, Al Qur'an and Arabic subjects, 3) conducting school management assistance in each branch, 4) holding training / workshops to improve school management competencies and teachers, and 5) measuring the development of Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah schools.

Characteristics of Studentsâ€™ Intuitive Thinking in Solving Mathematical Problems

Intuition is one of important thing in the process of solving mathematical problems. It works as cognitive mediation. In this understanding, intuition can be made as a bridge to students' understanding so that it can be accessed in linking imagined objects with the desired alternative solutions. In other words, students can determine what strategies or steps should be taken to get a problem solution, especially contextual problems that have completion steps that cannot be accessed directly. Intuitive thinking often occurs in mathematical problem solving. This was also seen in the mathematical students of IAIN Purwokerto. Based on the teaching experience so far, it was found that many students gave spontaneous answers without analyzing first. So, the researcher studied how characteristics of studentsâ€™ intuitive thinking are. This research used qualitative with descriptive-exploratory type of research and used test to identify the characteristics of studentsâ€™ intuitive thinking in solving mathematical problems. Results showed that studentsâ€™ characteristics consisted of extrapolative, implicitly, persistently, coercively, and the power of synthesis.

For that reason, the quality of a teacher will be a very contributing factor to the success of education in. In such an era, smart teachers should be equipped with innovations and creativity and are able to make a fun and interactive teaching and learning process. They are also expected to be able to encourage students to be active to participate in the learning process in order to make sure that the objectives of learning can be achieved. In this era, teachersâ€™ role in developing studentsâ€™ character is significant. This is because students will face this millennial era, which come a long with all chances and threat, and they should equip themselves with good characters as well as specific skills needed. The broad use of the internet will of course give some impacts to studentsâ€™ characters, either the good and the bad ones. For that reason, character building at schools is really needed to avoid students from losing their identity. Building studentsâ€™ character needs smart teachers who have four competencies, i.e. professional, paedagogic, personal, and social competencies. Having such competencies, teachers are expected to be able to build studentsâ€™ good character and can help students to have the characters which go along with parentsâ€™ and communityâ€™s expectations. The efforts to build studentsâ€™s characters can be realized through intra and extra-curriculair activities to facilitate students in developing the 18 characters as stated by Education and Culture Ministry of Indonesia.

Authentic assessment in the 2013 curriculum requires each teacher to conduct performs a fairly complex assessment of spiritual and social attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The problem in this research is how authentic assessment of affective domain in Islamic Education and character-building is implemented in a curriculum 2013 pilot project elementary school in Banyumas Regency Central Java Indonesia. This research is field research classified as descriptive qualitative research. The interview and observation methods were used to collect the data of the process of authentic assessment of affective domain in the subjects of Islamic and character Education. The documentation method was used to gain the data related to the school profiles and planning documents, implementation and assessment processing. The analysis technique chosen in this research was descriptive analysis technique using inductive and deductive thinking methods and following Miles and Huberman model of data analysis. The study found that the implementation of an authentic assessment in the school was carried out both manually and automatically using application through the process of 1) planning done by determining the character to be measured and making an assessment format referring to KI-1 and KI-2 , 2) implementation of the assessment carried out by observing and recording the attitudes of the participants, 3) value processing done collaboratively between the Islamic and Character Education teachers (PAI and BP) with the Class Teacher then recapitulating the attitude values and making the description, and 4) Follow-up carried out by PAI & BP Teachers and Class Teachers by providing rewards, motivation, coaching, habituation programs, and mentoring.

Improving the quality of education at school is not only the role of principal, but also the role of teacher and Administrative Staff (TU). The teacher works not only as a teacher but also an educator. Teachers must play an active role and place their position as professionals who work with high performance. Teacher and TU performance will be optimal, if integrated with good school principal and adequate work facilities. Effective headmaster leadership will be created if the principal has good character, behavior and skills.. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the principal's leadership with the performance of teachers and TU SMP N 1 Baturaden in Academic Year 2018/2019. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The sample in this study are 39 teachers and 13 TU staffs. Methods of collecting data used in this study are observation, questionnaires and interviews.

This paper examines the models, approaches and techniques of educational supervision implementation in schools. In the world of education, supervision is an integral part of the efforts to improve learning achievement and schoolâ€™s quality. Controlling or supervision is nothing but an effort to provide services to education stakeholders, especially teachers, done both individually and in groups in light of the improvement of the quality of learning processes and learning outcomes. Educational supervision is also defined as a process of monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure that all educational activities within educational institutions are carried out as planned and, at the same time, as activities to correct and improve in case of deviations that will interfere the process of objective achievement. In carrying out supervision, supervisors must understand the models, approaches and techniques of educational supervision as a provision of knowledge and skills to carry out their supervisory duties in schools. There are several models in educational supervision, namely: a) conventional (traditional) model, b) scientific model, (c) clinical model, and d) artistic model. The approaches that can be applied by the supervisors in conducting supervision, namely the directive approach, non directive approach and collaborative approach, while the techniques that can be used are two, namely individual and group techniques. Without considering the models, approaches, and techniques, the implementation of supervision might not run in line with the expectations.

Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and the School Literacy Movement (GLS) are two very important movements in the world of education today. Both are movements that can improve Student Competence in both attitudinal, knowledge and skills competencies. The purpose of this study is to describe the process or stages of strategic management in the form of Scanning, Formating, Implementing and Evaluating in PPK and GLS at Muhammadiyah Margasari Middle School in Tegal Regency. This study uses qualitative research. Data analysis methods used are (1) Data Collection (2) Data Reduction (3) Data Display (4) Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results of this study are Muhammadiyah Margasari Middle School implementing the stages of strategic management in PPK and Literacy. The stages are First, Scanning includes External and Internal Environmental Analysis with SWOT Analysis. Second, Formating through (1) Formulation of Vision, Mission, Core Value (2) Formulation of integrated School Objectives in PPK and Literacy (3) Formulation of Short and Medium Term School Strategic Plans that contain strategic programs, targets, strategies, funds and resources to improve competency of students through Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and School Literacy Movement (GLS), indicators of success. Third, Implementing is the implementation of improving the quality of students through PPK and Literacy activities including (1) PPK based on class, school and community. (2) GLS habituation, learning and development. Fourth, Evaluating is an evaluation of activities that have been carried out through School Self Evaluation for follow-up and continuous improvement.

The background of the problem of this study are: (1) the low pedagogical competence of the teacher in the making of the learning implementation plan (RPP), the implementation of the learning process and the implementation of learning evaluation; (2) the progress of communication and information technology, being realized or not, has an influence on the development of education. Such progress, inevitably drags the world of education to various changes in accordance with the needs and demands of the community; (3) improving education in the future requires information systems and information technology that not only function as supporting facilities, but rather as the main weapon to support the success of the world of education, so as to be able to compete in the global market; and (4) the importance of supervising online learning to improve the pedagogical competencies of Junior High School (SMP) teachers of the subject Pendidikan Agama Islam and Budi Pekerti in Cilacap District. Therefore, the purpose of this study is: â€œto analyze the increase in pedagogical competencies of Pendidikan Agama Islam and Budi Pekerti SMP Teacher by applying supervision of online learning in Cilacap District.â€ The design of this study uses the School Action Research (PTS) design which is a development of the design of Classroom Action Research (CAR) and carried out in four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and interpretation, analysis and reflection, which is carried out in at least two cycles. The research location is the Working Area of the Supervisor of Islamic Education and Junior High School Characteristics in Cilacap District with the research subjects being all Teachers of Pendidikan Agama Islam and Budi Pekerti SMP in CilacapDistrict which are held for 3 (three) months, starting from January 2019 to the Month March 2019. Data collection techniques are observation and documentation, using data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive-qualitative and descriptive-quantitative. Based on several results of the study it can be concluded that the use of online learning supervision can improve the pedagogical competence of Pendidikan Agama Islam and Budi Pekerti SMP Teacher in Cilacap District. The increase occurred in: an increase in the average assessment of pedagogic competencies in the teachers of Pendidikan Agama Islam and Budi Pekerti SMP Teacher of Cilacap District, where the pre-cycle average was 62.63% with the criteria of "GOOD," then in cycle 1 it increased to 72 , 00% with the criteria of "GOOD," and finally in cycle 2 it increased again to 83.00% with the criteria "VERRY GOOD.".

The duty and obligation of a state based on law is to provide protection for the public from all possible crimes, so that the state has a role in conducting prevention and repression of crime, and this cannot be separated from the implementation of criminal law by the state, as a tool to protect the public. The authority of the state to provide criminal sanctions is then delegated to law enforcement officers working in a system known as the Criminal Justice System. The criminal justice system itself is strongly influenced by the community environment and the field of human life. Therefore, the criminal justice system will always experience interaction, interconnection, and interdependence with its environment and sub-systems of the criminal justice system itself. One of the supporting sub-systems that have a very important role in implementing the criminal justice system is the court, which contains judges who are authorized by law to adjudicate. Judges in their capacity as authorities in the legal field have freedom as a form of independence in carrying out their duties. This independence does not mean that judges are freed from all obligations and responsibilities, but the independence of judges has the meaning of their existence as bearers of moral responsibility for upholding justice. This paper discusses the role of judges in ensuring legal certainty and justice in society, especially in handling criminal cases. This paper uses normative and philosophical analysis to the application of judicial independence principle in adjudicating criminal cases in the Indonesian criminal justice system.

It is well known and very clear, that memorizing the Qur'an is a very heavy duty and requires special time and seriousness to mobilize all abilities, because memorizing the Qur'an is a very grand and noble task. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display and verification/conclusion drawing. So the purpose of this study was to find out how the application of the kitabah method in learning to memorize the Qur'an at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Sokawera, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency. The results of this study were: The steps used in the application of the kitabah method were by first writing verses that will be memorized, then the students memorize them verse by verse with the guidance of the teacher, then followed up with several steps namely oral and written tests, takrir, recitation and mudarrasah. With the application of the kitabah method in learning to memorize the Qur'an in MI Ma'arif NU 1 Sokawera, Cilongok Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency with a good category, it was proven that graduates had memorized the 30^th chapter in the Qur'an, the Yasiin and Al-Waqi'ah. In addition, in the semester test and the National Standardized Madrasah Examination (UAMBN), it was proven that there were many students of MI Ma'arif NU 1 Sokawera, Cilongok Sub-District, Banyumas Regency who received 100 points in the Al-Hadith subjects.

In the millennium era the competition between educational institutions is getting tougher. If an institution does not innovate in improving an educational institution, it will lag behind other educational institutions. After the researchers observed the MI Darwata Mujur Lor Educational Institution, the researchers found a lack of proportional improvement in the ability of teachers and a lack of networks that were integrated with the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts made by MI Darwata Mujur Lor in improving the quality of its institutions. The type of the research is descriptive research. Descrpitive research is done by collecting data as much as possible which is supporting factors that influence it then explained according to the data found. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, surveys and documentation. The analysis technique of this study using taxonomic analysis is the analysis of the chosen domain which is further elaborated to find out the internal structure using focused observation. The results showed that efforts to improve the quality of educational institutions in Darwata Mujur Lor in the aspects of teacher professionalism were carried out by improving the profession individually, and increasing teachers through professional organizational channels, and network aspects carried out by conducting workshops / training internally, collaborating with school committee, collaborate with the community, and collaborate with local agencies and non-governmental institutions.

This paper focuses on the process of empowering rural Muslim communities by improving the quality of life through the development of appropriate technology to be renewable. Renewable technology is an effort to develop simple technology that is needed by the community, and the practice of using potential in the community environment, so that it can be updated at a low cost. The research setting is the Muslim community of Sokawera Village, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency. The background of the problem is to find public poverty and general school dropouts, the abundance of manure waste, the lack of funds to buy fertilizers, and the imbalance between low economic capacity and the ownership of abundant potential in the form of community culture raising livestock. This type of research is qualitative research by conducting exploration through interviews, observation and forum group discussions. Data analysis is done by searching and compiling data systematically from the results of interviews, observation and forum group discussions. The findings of this study are in the form of a model of empowering rural Muslims through the development of appropriate technologies for renewable. The model is named after the House of Empowerment. Rumah Empowerment is a concept in carrying out the empowerment process from the beginning to the end. In this concept, there are five processes. The five processes must be carried out coherently so that the target of empowerment is maximally achieved and can be sustainable. The five processes referred to, namely; 1) Mapping the subject of empowerment, 2) Coordination, 3) Expansion of Empowerment, 4) Evaluation, 5) Improvement.

Based on Minister of National Education Regulation Number 13 of 2007 concerning Standards for Principals / Madrasas that the qualifications of principals / madrasas consist of general qualifications and special qualifications. In addition to having to meet the qualifications, a school principal must fulfill personal, managerial, entrepreneurial, supervision and social competencies. Supervision competence is the competence of principals who need to get serious attention including, 1) Planning academic supervision programs, 2) Carrying out academic supervision of teachers by using appropriate supervision approaches and techniques, 3) Following up on academic supervision results. The principal must prepare an academic supervision plan starting from the academic supervision schedule, the techniques to be used in academic supervision and the instruments that will be used in implementing academic supervision. The implementation of supervision can be in the form of performance evaluation by checking various administrative features that have been prepared by the teachers and conducting class visits to observe the course of the learning process. Follow-up results of the implementation of academic supervision carried out by the principal are done through the delivery of the results of the implementation of supervision both related to the advantages and disadvantages.

ABSTRACT

Radicalism has become a concern for the Indonesian people, cause its practice reduce diversity and peace. The emergence of radicalism in Indonesia is caused by four main factors, namely political violence, poor governance, global revival, and the spirit of Arabism. Radicalism also arises as a result of deviations from religious norms, as well as secular life in people's lives.

Radicalism in Indonesia is increasingly developing along with the development of formalistic and rigid understanding of religion in understanding the texts of the study of religion. only textually, not seeing from other factors, so the actions they taken only refer to the behavior of the Prophet literally.

Efforts to suppress the development of radicalism (radicalism) of the government have made various efforts, both soft approaches and hard approaches. The aim is to safeguard the Pancasila and Unity in Diversity which aspire to unity, unity and positive cooperation in building the nation and state. The government also encourages every element of society to actively participate in suppressing the development of radicalism.

Nahdlatul Ulama as the largest Islamic Community Organization (ORMAS) in Indonesia, called and participated in deradicalization, by offering an Islamic approach called as Islam Nusantara. Islam Nusantara is a ideology of Islam that is not only textual but also contextual and respects local wisdom. Islam Nusantara offers a moderate (moderate) Islam that is not extreme, always balanced and inclusive, tolerant and can coexist peacefully with followers of other religions, and can accept democracy.

The model of Islam Nusantara approach is actually not only aimed at those who have been contaminated by radical understanding, but also the general public as a preventive effort, so that they are not contaminated by radicalism.

Moral decadence or moral deterioration is one of the problems that still exist in Indonesia. Students also cannot be separated from the spotlight on moral decadence.Brawls, bullying, disrespect for teachers are a few examples of moral decadence among students. Parents and teachers are looking for solutions to solve this problem, whether parents can solve it, or only the school can solve it, or there must be collaboration between parents and the school to solve this problem, or are there other factors can support the resolution of this problem. The purpose of this study is to show the efforts of Islamic education in providing solutions to problems of moral decadence or moral deterioration that occur, especially among students. This research method uses the method of literature, which examines the theory and looks at the cases published in the news about moral decadence, especially in students. The results of this study are that Islamic education is very influential on moral formation, because man's main function is as a caliph and to worship and serve him must surely have good knowledge, insight, behavior or morals, and so on. Someone who first gets an education including moral education is from both. If his family bases Islamic education as the foundation for the moral formation of children, then he will understand which behaviors are good and which are bad behaviors, manners, and so on.

Education is a big investment for all people, especially for parents. It is important for parents to decide the best educational institutions for their children. They will ask their relatives, neighbors, or even internet. It is almost confirmed that the decisions the parents take for determining a certain school will bring out great expectations for their children, such as being excellent, religious, intelligent, having live skills and many more.

Such great expectations above are indeed supposed to be parentsâ€™ visions, educators and even country. In the formulation of the Law on the National Education System states that the aims of the National Education are at developing learnersâ€™ potentials so that they become persons imbued with human values who are faithful and pious to one and only God; who possess morals and noble character; who are healthy, knowledgeable, competent, creative, independent; and as citizens, are democratic and responsible. The idealism of the National Educationâ€™s aims seems to be a Utopia after arising certain phenomena, like several teenagers who is still in student age involve promiscuity, drug abuse, pornography, gadget addiction and loss of respect for parents. Moreover, many cases of prosecutions to parents because the demand that is not granted.

School that as one of the pillars of educations, besides family and society has the strategic position for resolving the such problems. The requirements of curriculum management, human resources, and characters building-based studentsâ€™ programs urge to be carefully formulated and can be implemented.

The paper describes the studentsâ€™ program in the form of the introduction of society environment (PLM) that is held by Al Irsyad Islamic Senior High School of Purwokerto. While there is a program called Community Service Program (KKN) in higher education, it is likewise the program in this school named Introduction of Society Environment (PLM). The program is attractive because it contains many values related to the characters building reinforcements. At least there are nine characters that can be built through this program, such as religious, tolerance, discipline, hard work, nationalism, loving country, being communicative, social and community care. The activities that carried out in the program are the repair of house and mosque, the clothes and staple foods distribution, the SMAIT teaching, the great recitation and free medical treatment.
